Donald Trump Jr takes the stand again in New York civil fraud trial, and it’s a debacle
When you’re trying to figure out why anyone in Trump world does anything these days, there’s a helpful axiom to keep in mind: they’re idiots. I don’t mean that in a glib or taunting sense. I mean that they are, as a statement of fact, idiots. Everyone in Trump world is trying to please the senile clown who runs the show, and therefore, their actions are just plain stupid. This brings us to Donald Trump Junior.
The prosecution put Donald Trump Jr. on the stand earlier this month and let’s just say that it went poorly for him. Then on Monday, the defense also decided to put Donald Trump Jr. on the stand. But instead of using the occasion to try to refute any of the points that the prosecution had made, they just sort of did a weird slide deck of photographs:
Today, Donald Trump Jr. took the stand to try to defend his family’s fraud.
Rather than respond to any legal claim against him and his family, Trump Jr. spent his time talking through pictures of Trump properties.
He didn't make a single point to refute our case against them.⤵️ pic.twitter.com/7s1tEoPc9y

.
So why would Donald Trump’s attorneys even do this? It comes back to that same adage: they’re idiots. Each time someone in Trump world does something weird and inexplicable, everyone tries to come up with a logical or strategic explanation for their behavior – but then it just turns out to have been more nonsensical behavior.
