Now we’re getting to the fun part
It was announced in court today that Donald Trump is now scheduled to testify on November 6th – ten days from now – in his New York civil fraud trial.
Remember, this is a civil trial, so Trump is required to testify even though he’s the defendant. If he refuses, or pleads the fifth, or gets caught committing perjury, the judge can and will use that as a basis for even bigger damages. So Trump is screwed either way.
If Donald Trump goes through with his testimony, he’ll be testifying after his three eldest children will have already testified. So Trump, whose cognitive abilities keep declining and causing him to go wildly off script, would have to try to avoid contradicting whatever claims his kids make under oath.
It’s fair to say that we’re getting to the fun part. And remember, Donald Trump has already officially lost this trial by summary judgment before it even began. At this point all that can happen is for the outcome to get even worse for him.
