More bad news for Lauren Boebert
After Lauren Boebert just barely won reelection by 546 votes in the midterms, making clear that her moderately right-leaning district was sick of her far right antics, one would think that she’d have toned it down. Instead she’s ramped up her extremism, her stupidity, and her bizarrely inappropriate personal behavior. Suffice it to say that it’s not playing out well for her.
Democratic candidate Adam Frisch, who nearly defeated Boebert in 2022, is now out-fundraising her by about a four to one margin in the 2024 race. Frisch will need all this money (and more) in order to win, because the district does lean a bit to the right to begin with. But now it turns out Frisch isn’t Boebert’s only problem.
The Denver Post seems to think that Lauren Boebert’s 2024 Republican primary challenger, Jeff Hurd, might have a chance of taking the nomination from her. In spite of being a nobody, Hurd has already raised about half as much money as Boebert has. In other words, even Republicans seem to want Boebert gone.
Of course it’s difficult to predict what would happen if Boebert does lose a primary challenge. Given how much Boebert’s district seems to hate her, a no-name Republican candidate might end up being more competitive in the general election. That’s why it’s more important than ever to donate to Democratic candidate Adam Frisch, so he’ll have a big enough war chest to go up against whatever he ends up facing in the general election.
