The current batch of House Republicans are all icky corrupt extremists. But they’re coming apart at the seams right now as they battle over whether they’re icky enough corrupt extremists to want Jim Jordan as their leaders. Now it’s getting particularly ugly.

House Republican Nancy Mace โ€“ who voted to remove Kevin McCarthy and then wore a Scarlet Letter shirt โ€“ tweeted on Thursday night that “We should not go home until we have a Speaker.” House Republican Greg Murphy responded to Mace with “How about apologizing for causing this mess?”

Nancy Mace then tweeted that she “tried to reply but he blocked me after posting this.” Mace added “what a [pussy]” โ€“ using an emoji in place of the insult. Keeping up with the theme of calling each other names, Greg Murphy went on to call Matt Gaetz an “insect.”

So this is going well for House Republicans. We’re now at a point where they’re blocking each other on Twitter and publicly referring to each other with terms like “pussy.” House Republicans are reaching an all new low. Of course tomorrow they’ll find some new way to sink even lower.
