Jim Jordan flip flops yet AGAIN, calls off Speaker vote again
This morning Jim Jordan canceled the scheduled third round of voting for Speaker of the House, then seemed to end his bid for Speaker, then announced that his bid for Speaker was back on, and leaked that he was planning to hold the third round of voting later today. But now all that’s out the window.
House Republican Mike Lawler met with Jim Jordan this afternoon, and then Lawler released a statement confirming that Jordan won’t hold a Speaker vote today. So what does this mean? Is Jordan going to try again tomorrow? Or is this it for him?
This is all total chaos. It’s difficult for us to follow what the story is, because these House Republicans have no idea what the story is. It’s not just that the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing, even the right hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. We’re sure the story will change three more times by tomorrow.
