Joe Biden’s trolling of Donald Trump on Truth Social is getting to the fun part already
On Monday, President Joe Biden’s 2024 campaign launched an official account on Donald Trump’s Truth Social network. It’s a cleverly executed publicity stunt that cuts right at the heart of Trump’s handlers desire to let Trump rant and rave in isolation. The stunt is also getting to the fun part already.
More than twelve hours in, Truth Social still has yet to ban the “BidenHQ” account. This isn’t surprising, given that it would make Trump look incredibly weak if he has Biden thrown off the platform. It would be even more embarrassing for Trump given that the Biden account hasn’t broken any of the platform’s stated rules.
But the truly fun part is watching Trump supporters try to ratio every BidenHQ post with negative replies. It’s as if they’re too naive to understand that the main point of the BidenHQ account is to fluster them and bait them into debating the talking points that the Biden campaign wants them debating.
In politics, if you control the topic, you win, even if the other side thinks it’s “winning” the debate on that topic. Not that anyone in Trump’s base would have any understanding of how politics actually works. And now Joe Biden has baited them into replying to his messaging all day. This is hilarious.
