House Republicans reluctantly picked Jim Jordan as their next nominee for Speaker of the House on Friday, but he currently isn’t close to having the votes to actually become Speaker. That’s right, even House Republicans hate Jordan.

The kicker is that some influential House Republicans are so desperate to stop Jim Jordan from becoming Speaker, they’re openly asking Hakeem Jeffries what kinds of concessions House Democrats would want in exchange for helping to make someone else Speaker.
