Matt Gaetz just got caught in the act
Matt Gaetz is turning out to be the gift that keeps on giving. How illegitimate is the Republican House’s impeachment of President Biden? Not only is the “impeachment” based on phony evidence, it doesn’t exist. There was no vote to begin an impeachment inquiry, which by rule means that last month’s public hearing wasn’t part of an “impeachment” process in any way. It was just another generic House hearing.
If you don’t want to take our word for it, trying asking Matt Gaetz. Newly unearthed video obtained by NBC News shows Gaetz admitting that there were never enough votes to hold an actual impeachment inquiry, and that “I don’t believe that we are endeavoring upon a legitimate impeachment of Joe Biden.”
In other words Matt Gaetz just got caught in the act of admitting that the House Republican agenda is nothing but a sham, and that – as Palmer Report has spent the past two weeks stressing – there is no impeachment process against President Biden.
Matt Gaetz is in way over his head. He doesn’t understand how to create allies within his own House Republican caucus. He doesn’t understand messaging. He thinks politicians get things done by running their mouths in front of the cameras, and doesn’t understand that actual political muscle is flexed behind the scenes. So of course Gaetz got caught on camera admitting that his own party’s agenda is illegitimate. He’s that idiot.
