Senile Donald Trump now appears to think Jeb Bush was President
Donald Trump has a few different problems right now. First, he’s under criminal indictment and headed for prison. Second, he’s clearly senile. Third, because he’s pretending to run for President in order to raise money for his criminal defense, he now has to put himself out there publicly even though he’s senile.
That came home to roost yet again today, when Trump made a rare campaign speech. Trump started by bragging about how he beat Jeb Bush in the 2016 Republican primary, but then claimed that Jeb Bush was the one who started the Iraq War. So Trump apparently thinks that Jeb Bush was President:

Trump also said today that he’s going to beat Joe Biden in “five months.” This would mean that Trump either thinks the general election is in February 2024, or he thinks Biden is his Republican Primary opponent. At this point does Trump even know what year it is?
Anyone can randomly misspeak. But for Trump, this is far too frequent of a pattern to be written off as a mere goof. Earlier this month Trump claimed that he ran against Barack Obama, not Hillary Clinton in 2016. Trump also accused President Biden of trying to get us into World War II. Trump also wanted to know who gave Dr. Fauci a medal, apparently unable to remember that it was Trump himself who gave Fauci the medal. And this has all been in the past couple weeks.
Donald Trump is simply senile. He’s been senile for the past two and a half years. His public appearances were rare during that time and few paid attention when he did occasionally surface. But anyone who was watching closely in 2021 and 2022 knew back then that Trump had gone senile. Now that he’s putting himself out there more frequently, it’s becoming more obvious to all.
Trump’s severe and worsening senility is arguably the biggest story in politics right now. It threatens to take him out of political relevance even sooner than his criminal trials can. Trump’s base may not care that he’s senile, but it’s never been about them. Once the general public sees that Trump is senile, the mainstream media will no longer be able to sell him as a supposedly viable candidate – and once that happens, it’s the end of him.
