Score one for VP Kamala Harris
When all is said and done, Vice President Kamala Harris is likely to go down in history as one of the most accomplished vice presidents in recent history. She’s already set a record for how well-traveled she’s been while doing diplomacy in both Europe and Southeast Asia.
She’s also set the record for number of tie-breaking votes, in her role as President of the U.S. Senate, and now with the 2024 election coming up, she’s been more visible than ever, campaigning on behalf of reproductive rights for Democrats across the country. Now, she’s demonstrating something that the media has spent their time ‘concern trolling’ about: her preparedness for the presidency, should she have to assume the office.
In collaboration with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau – an administrative branch that was all but gutted under the watch of the former guy, Vice President Harris has announced a plan to eliminate medical debt from credit reports. This is the result of a long push to downplay credit debt, with potential laws to be made next year that could make massive medical debts obsolete.
As we’re watching the House Republicans tear each other to pieces, the Democrats are getting things done that help improve peoples’ lives. This is exactly why we vote Democratic – they deliver on their promises!
