The news just keeps getting worse for Donald Trump. He now has multiple criminal trials scheduled for well before the 2024 election, the state of New York is about to crush him financially, and Tuesday’s 22 year prison sentence for Enrique Tarrio is a reminder that Trump could still face additional criminal charges relating to January 6th. But don’t worry, Trump has all this covered.

Trump is now sharing an article about 2024 that’s so hilariously far removed from reality, you’d think it was intended as parody. This article explains that Trump is going to be able to simply “defer” his criminal trials until after the election. No explanation is provided for how this is going to happen, or what this even means. Which isn’t surprising, given that it’s not a real thing.

Trump has also decided that President Joe Biden will soon announce his “retirement” so that Kamala Harris can’t be the 2024 nominee (wait, what?), and that Trump will end up running against either Gavin Newsom or a Democrat from New Jersey. No really, Trump shared all this crap today.

So there you have it, straight from the source. Donald Trump has got 2024 all figured out. It’s time we call this what it is. Trump knows it’s all over for him, knows he has no semblance of a future outside of prison, and is trying to comfort himself with increasingly delusional fantasies about how it’s all going to magically work out for him. There’s another word for these kinds of self-comforting fantasies: surrender. Trump isn’t even trying to fight or win the real world battles he’s facing. Instead he’s hiding inside a fantasy world, trying to distract himself from just how bleak his future really is.
