Trump co-defendant Jeff Clark goes completely off the deep end
You’d think that former DOJ official and current criminal defendant Jeffrey Clark would have enough to worry about right now. After all, he just got indicted on state charges in Fulton County and he appears to be on track to get indicted on federal charges in the Jack Smith probe. But Clark doesn’t seem to understand that his focus needs to be on his criminal defense. Instead he still thinks this is a battle that can be won on cable news or social media.
This weekend legal analyst Neal Katyal revealed that he’d attended the Burning Man festival and – like a lot of other attendees – had a very difficult time getting out of the flood ravaged venue. Good for him for having a life outside of work, and good for him for surviving the floods. But Jeffery Clark didn’t seem to see it that way.
That’s right, Jeffrey Clark, a guy who’s about to go on criminal trial for racketeering and trying to overthrow the government, is spending his time ranting and raving on Twitter about a TV legal analyst going to a festival. Clark ended up tweeting this, among other things: “Why am I not surprised that Neal Katyal made it a priority to get to a neopagan ritual?”
The only reason this is even newsworthy is that it shows just how far removed from reality Trump’s co-defendants like Jeff Clark are. This guy is about to go on criminal trial for racketeering, and if convicted he’s going to spend much of the rest of his life in prison. Yet this is what he’s focused on? These idiots might end up finishing themselves off before the legal system even can.
