And then there was one
And then there was one. Allow me, if you will to explain in this article, this Agatha Christie reference. And there is a bit of irony in this reference as well. Donald Trump has announced his intentions NOT to attend the first Republican debate next week.
I imagine Trump made this decision because of many factors, one of them being, of course fear. Trump doesn’t want to be attacked by the other candidates. After all, he’s a bully, and bully are ALWAYS the most cowardly of those who live among us.
But I have news for Trump. In this case, there is nothing to fear — well, there is ALMOST nothing to fear. You see, friends and readers, NONE of the candidates will go hard at Trump except one person, one primate, one particular individual who is likely licking his lips at the thought of destroying the Donald on stage.
That is Chris Christie. And then there was one. This term seems especially appropriate given that Chris shares the same last name as Agatha — the queen of the mystery novel Many pundits are speculating whether Trump fears Christie. I think he does. Christie is known as one of the best political debaters, and Trump is, of course, one of the worst.
But other than Christie, Trump really has nothing to fear. Because the reality is he is dealing with a bunch of wimps. “I love Trump more. No, I Love Trump more.” These words were spoken by MSNBC columnist Dean Obeidallah who was speaking to Joy Reid about how the debate might shape up.
And he also said hilariously that pudding aficionado Ron DeSantis might stride into the debate wearing a Maga hat. It’s true. Readers, we have before us a bunch of frightened and chickenshit morons. Most of them are secretly TERRIFIED of Donald Trump.
I mean, think about it. Can one honestly see Tim Scott going after Trump? Haley? Pence? The Maga crowd wanted to HANG Pence and Pence still hasn’t laid a timid GLOVE on Donald Trump.
No, this debate will be a love-fest to end all love-fests! Many of the candidates will swoon when Trump’s name is mentioned. They will all try to out Maga each other and much of the debate time will be spent kissing ass — The Donald’s ass.
Now Christie is a different animal altogether. Christie is playing not to win the nomination but to utterly destroy Donald. But Trump really should show up at this debate. I admit I’d like him to because he would, of course, make an utter fool of himself and that’s what we all love, yes?
But as far as verbally attacking him — not. Most of the candidates, some who hope, delusionally, to be the chosen ones, chosen to be Trump’s VP, are going to praise him with sickening sycophancy. What a night this shall be.
