Fulton County grand jury witness slams Donald Trump, compares him to Herschel Walker
Earlier today Donald Trump committed felony witness tampering when he used social media to publicly call on former Georgia Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan not to testify to Fani Willis’ Fulton County grand jury. Duncan wasn’t in any way dissuaded by Trump’s inept antics, and went ahead and testified anyway.
On his way out of the courthouse, Duncan declined to discuss the specifics of his testimony but did say that this represented a “pivot point” for the country. In a followup interview, Duncan said that Trump is the worst political candidate of all time, even worse than Hershel Walker:
I spat out my drink when Geoff Duncan said Trump was an even worse candidate than Herschel Walker 🤣
These charges must be bad

This has got to sting because while Herschel Walker was a national embarrassment in his failed 2022 Senate bid, he was particularly embarrassing for Georgia Republicans, who allowed the cognitively nonfunctional Walker to be their party’s nominee. Now Geoff Duncan, who’s still a conservative Republican political figure, is saying that Trump is even worse than Herschel Walker.
Keep in mind that Duncan made these remarks immediately after interacting with the grand jury that’s criminally indicting Donald Trump. He wouldn’t have heard the entire case being presented. But the questions he was asked, and the evidence he was asked to comment on, could certainly give him a sense of just how devastating the Fulton County case against Trump is. And now he’s saying that Trump would be a worse candidate than Herschel Walker – an insult that you almost can’t top in Georgia politics.
