List of Fulton County grand jury charges against Donald Trump prematurely surfaces, disappears
A premature posting on the Fulton County, GA court website this morning may have tipped us off to the indictment-to-come against Donald Trump. Reuters reports that a document, which can be seen here, appears to be a table of contents that was briefly posted and then pulled down without fanfare. Fani Willis’s office is mum about the document or the posting, but it sure LOOKS like the blueprint of a crime spree.
Listing the case as State of Georgia v. Donald John Trump, the litany of charges opens with “Violation of the Georgia RICO Act” characterized as a “Serious Felony” followed by 12 named felony counts including False Statements and Writings, Solicitation of Violation of Oath by the Public Officer, Filing False Statements and Writings, and multiple conspiracy charges, 13 counts in all, with the dates of the alleged offenses sprawling across a 10 month period, from 11/4/2020 to 9/17/2021.
Unless this is a hoax (remotely possible, but very unlikely given the timing and trajectory of the posting and its disposal), this is the “Off-Broadway Preview” of the Georgia case, and we may need to wait another day or two for the official Opening. But it’s one more tantalizing bit of news that the long-awaiting Georgia charges are about to arrive.
