Donald Trump’s most dangerous criminal indictments are yet to come
It seems that just as we’re all getting used to one Trump indictment, another one drops. And that is what’s expected to happen in Georgia. Any day now, Trump will be indicted for the fourth time. It seems so long ago now that we all wondered if Trump would ever be indicted.
Now he is a multiply indicted traitor. And according to former Republican Gwinnett County District Attorney Danny Porter, the most terrifying indictment for Trump is the one that has not yet come.
Porter said out of all the indictments, it is Georgia that Trump should fear most. That’s because, he explained, Trump, even if he somehow won the presidency, (which will not happen), would have no way of pardoning himself for that one. It’s state, not federal. And Trump cannot pardon himself for state crimes.
Not only that. Georgia has special rules that would make it extremely difficult for anyone else to pardon him, either. “That’s the one Trump should be the most scared of,” he explained. Georgia doesn’t give governors the power to pardon criminals automatically; that is decided by the state board of pardons and paroles.
And not only that. Check these words out: “To be considered for a pardon, a person must first complete all prison sentences at least five years before applying, have lived a law-abiding life in the intervening years, have no pending charges against them, and have paid all their fines in full.”
This is bad news for Trump. He will never be able to wiggle out of the Georgia indictment and must know that. Or maybe he doesn’t. Trump is so mentally gone at this point it’s possible he really believes he can beat all these indictments. Of course, he can’t. And, of course, when the Georgia indictment goes down, Trump will once again have to surrender himself. This is getting to be a regular occurrence with Trump.
