Once upon a time, there lived a very impulsive man. In fact, he still exists today! Delicate in nature, often wearing his emotions on his sleeve, this man was a politician. He was, at one time, highly respected. He was witty, and he was genteel. He was known for his ability to laugh and inspire others to do the same.

And he was known for his ability to reach out to the politicians who were in a different party than the man. So life seemed good for our politicians until IT came. It was a wicked siren that glided in from the deep. And though sirens are usually(though not always) female, this one was not. He was male.

He sang his wicked song, and the politician, like many before him, became enchanted. He should have stopped himself. That’s what he SHOULD have done. But people don’t always think rationally, as you know.

So the politician listened. He allowed himself to be wrapped in the wicked lullaby of the siren’s call. And it changed him. It put him in a fugue state where nothing mattered except the mournful cry of the siren. He swam out to meet this being and drowned — in lies and deception.

He began doing things for the siren — striking out at the people who were once his friends! Lowering himself to become little more than one who, rather than commanding respect, became little more than a joke. This politician’s name is Lindsey. Lindsey Graham.

And now, the culmination of just how far Lindsey went for his object of worship, will soon be revealed. We’ve talked a lot about whether Trump will be indicted in Georgia. But what about Lindsey? Fani Willis has completed her work in Georgia. She said so herself over the weekend.

Soon — very soon now, the feeding frenzy will begin. Indictments will start flowing out of Georgia. Will Lindsey’s name be on that list? “Queerty” put it best: “Lindsey Graham is probably wetting the bed right now.”

I agree! And I wish I could feel something. I wish I could feel sympathy for the enchanted one. Except I don’t. The sirens of ancient times, of stories and legends, were somewhat magical. The sailors and others who found themselves lost had no free will.

But Lindsey did — and does. He knew. He knew the call of HIS male Siren — Donald Trump — was lethal and would destroy him; he knew he’d be lost. And he did what he did anyway. So now, he has no choice but to suffer the consequences.
