You really wouldn’t want to be Trump stooges John Eastman and Jeffrey Clark right now
When CNN reported yesterday that Rudy Giuliani had met with Jack Smith’s team, it set off all kinds of interesting potential storylines. The meeting would have been voluntary, as prospectors can’t compel people to testify against themselves. And it suggested that Smith is near enough to the end of his Trump January 6th probe that he’s begun offering top targets the opportunity to “clear their names” so they’ll foolishly come in and run their mouths.
Now more details are surfacing about the meeting. According to CBS News, Jack Smith was primarily interested in the meetings that Rudy Giuliani had at the Trump White House between election day and January 6th, with Trump stooges like John Eastman, Jeffrey Clark, and Sidney Powell.
In other words, you wouldn’t want to be John Eastman, Jeffrey Clark, or Sidney Powell right now – or for that matter Rudy Giuliani. This suggests that all four of them are top tier criminal targets in Jack Smith’s Trump probe. Unless any of them have already secretly flipped on each other, it looks like they’re all going down.
