That went downhill for Trump fast
There’s nothing like a traitor and a psychopath confessing all of his sins on national television. Anyone who said, “You’d think he’d have learned by now,” does not understand Donald Trump. Trump has no capacity to learn from his mistakes. And those mistakes can only get worse — not better.
Trump was interviewed by Bret Baier of Fox non-news. And Baier did a pretty good job. Baier asked Trump how he was going to appeal to women voters in his 2024 campaign. “First of all, I won in 2020 by a lot,” Trump said insanely. “You lost the 2020 election,” Baier replied. Wow — truth on Fox! Who’d have thought it?
Trump continued to insist fake ballots were used. He came off as a mental patient. Anybody listening to this (man?) would have noticed he sounded unhinged, out of his mind, and seemed almost in a daze. But it got worse quite quickly. Because Trump, I imagine, much to Jack Smith’s flight confessed.
Trump explained he couldn’t have returned the stolen documents because they were mixed in with his golf shirts. Was this man REALLY President for four years? How sad. Trump several times referenced how busy he was, too busy it seems to have gone through the box to pluck his golf shirts away and return everything else.
Of course, I doubt any golf memorabilia was in there. But Trump’s confession went viral. And faster than one could say “life in prison”, Twitter was on it. Reaction appeared to be almost universal: “IDIOT.”
All in all, it was an interview that no doubt can be used against the orange flim-flam man. How could it not be? Trump seems to change his story every day. As of the time of this writing, I have yet to hear one actual rational defense from Trump — likely because there is none.
One thing that did stick out for me is the fear. I rarely hear fear in Trump’s voice, but I did the other day. So did an MSNBC pundit or two who spoke about it. The usual rage was not present; instead, Trump seemed scared. And panicky. He was not his usual self, not even close, and it was a sight to see.
