Holy crap, part two of Donald Trump’s Fox News interview is even more embarrassing for him
If you watched Donald Trump’s deeply self-incriminating and severely mentally incompetent appearance on Fox News on Monday and thought “this can’t get any worse for him,” it turns out that was only Part One of a pre-taped interview. Part Two aired on Tuesday, and while it may not have been as self-incriminating, it may have been more outright embarrassing.
This moment sums it up. Trump tries to brag that he got an over-punished former low level drug dealer named Alice Johnson out of prison, only for interviewer Bret Baier to point out that Trump’s proposed new policy for drug dealers would result in someone like Johnson being put to death:
.
Trump brags to Bret Baier about granting Alice Johnson clemency.
Baier informs him that she would be killed under his policy proposal of executing drug dealers.
Trump is caught off guard: "No, no. No. Under my pl–. Under that? UHHHHHHHHHHH…" pic.twitter.com/WxSWOIQVi5

It’s not just that Donald Trump got backed into a corner on this. It’s that he had no idea how to even address it. If he were in any way cognitively competent, he could have handled this tough question on some level, even by changing the topic if necessary. Instead he just sat there and said stupid things about the topic at hand. Trump isn’t accustomed to being called out to his face like this, and he’s clearly less competent to deal with it than ever.
