This is getting “deeply weird”

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump is a career criminal who tried to steal the 2020 election, tried to violently overthrow the election after he lost, and stole classified military secrets on his way out the door. He’s obviously one of the most evil people to ever live. But that’s just the half of it.

Trump not only stole dozens of boxes of classified documents, he ended up hoarding them in his bathroom and other places, and refused to give them back even though doing so could have resulted in less serious criminal charges. And it’s not as if he was doing anything crucial with the documents he was refusing to return; again, many of them had been sitting in a spare bathroom for a year and a half.

This has led Eugene Robinson to say on MSNBC that Donald Trump isn’t just a bad person, he’s a “deeply weird” person. We’re inclined to agree. Everyone knows this guy is an evil soulless monster. That’s the easy part to parse. But he’s just so weird about how he goes about being evil.
