Donald Trump’s no good horrible day just keeps getting even worse for him
Donald Trump started the day already knowing he’d been criminally indicted under the Espionage Act – a phenomenally bad starting point – and his day has since somehow gotten even worse as it’s gone on.
The DOJ unsealed the indictment in the middle of the day, and it revealed that the evidence against Trump is overwhelming to the point of being a slam dunk case. It also revealed that there are dozens of felony charges against Trump, and not merely seven charges, as was initially implied. But then things got even worse.
Sometime in the afternoon Trump announced that two of his criminal defense attorneys were no longer with him, and that their replacements will be named sometime later. This sounded a lot like they either quit or Trump fired them. That’s the last thing Trump needed, the day after he was indicted.
Things are still getting worse for Trump as the evening goes on, if his increasingly frantic, frequent, and erratic social media posts are any indication. Everything is falling apart for this guy in real time. And things are just getting started.
