Seasons change. People change. States change.

Each of our fifty states has its own character, its own identity, and its own quirks. Florida is known for its delicious white sand beaches. Arizona is known for its soaring mountain peaks and incredible wonders such as the Grand Canyon. Maine is known for its lighthouses and rocky coast.

And the state of Wisconsin is known as the dairy state.

Wisconsin is a delightful state. They have supper clubs. They have dairy in abundance. They have the Packers. And they have the color purple soon to be .. blue?

Possibly. Wisconsin has, in recent years, been the ultimate purple swing-state. Everyone campaigns there. Every candidate hopes to take home with them Wisconsin’s extremely important vote.

Only Wisconsin might be making a change. And that change is exchanging the color purple for the beautiful hues of soaring blue.

In a report published on May 30th in, Politico, the writer David Siders talks about how Wisconsin is pulling away from the GOP, and abortion is a big reason why.

Wisconsin Republican Rohn W. Bishop was quoted in the article saying: “We got our butts kicked. What the Republican base demands and what independent voters will accept are growing further part.”

So is it true? Is Wisconsin losing its purple status? It would certainly seem they’re edging ever closer. Remember the Supreme Court race there?

Wisconsin, in my opinion, can be used as a blueprint. Because we need to do this in other states as well.

We need to do this in Nevada, in Pennsylvania, in Michigan. We need to move these states from the color purple — and into the permanent state of blue.
