There’s a lot to dislike about the corporate world. One thing I never liked was a dress code. I am actually quite fortunate in that most of my employers never demanded a strict dress code. I’ve always seen dress codes as rather silly.

Fortunately, they seem to be going out of style these days. We won’t miss them. I believe people have the right to wear what they want, and express themselves through fashion. To that end, I am dismayed to see one Senator is getting a lot of negative attention for his fashion choices.

Senator John Fetterman, in Pennsylvania, has been through more than I can even imagine. So you think people would leave him alone about how he chooses to dress. Only some Republicans won’t. This week an article appeared talking about what a slob he is. Those are their words not mine.

That is because John Fetterman chose to wear a hoodie in the Senate. And many people were outraged. These people, of course are Republicans. How dare he? They raged. Nasty Republican articles and angry Twitter comments filled the Internet. All of these articles and comments were extremely insulting, mocking and disgusting.

The fact that John wore a hoodie on the Senate floor, apparently upsets Republicans a heck of a lot more than the January 6 insurrection did. You’d think the guy had killed someone. The articles were of such a cruel nature that I decided not to include any in this article, because really, who would want to read that garbage?

I am speaking out in defense of Fetterman , and anyone who chooses to wear what they want, when they want. In a world with so many issues to be solved, I really don’t care about the fashion choices of pretty much anyone. In fact, I salute John Fetterman. The man’s inner strength continues to amaze me in a good way.

And if we’re going to insult fashion choices, let’s look at the Republicans. It wasn’t that long ago that they were wearing gun lapel pins. I would much prefer to sit across from somebody in a nice and comfortable hoodie, then somebody with gross and vulgar lapel pin with a picture of a killing machine on it.

So if I were a republican, (and thank goodness I’m not), I would save the sanctimonious bullshit. The fact is I believe a lot of this is coming because Republicans still can’t handle the fact that Senator Fetterman won in Pennsylvania and by such a large amount.

But there’s nothing they can do about it. He’s much loved, and I can say with certainty that the majority of the American people don’t give a damn what he chooses to wear, and how he chooses to wear it.
