The larger threat
So many people still see Donald Trump as the biggest threat. I am not one of them. I am not one of them because I know. I know that Donald Trump‘s days of getting away with things are in the past. But I know a lot of people still worry about him, still fear him. I get that.
But I don’t want to talk about the past. I prefer to talk about the future. And the shape of things to come. In the next few weeks, based on everything we’ve seen so far, it is very likely that Donald Trump will be indicted.
It is also very likely that he will be indicted in August for his role in the Georgia mess that he made. Donald Trump will melt down. There will be many a truth social rant. He will try to get people to feel sorry for him, not understanding that he can’t get out of the net he finds himself trapped in.
This is the shape of things to come for Donald Trump and for us? The Republican presidential nomination process will come more into focus, and other candidates will likely start to gain some traction. It is then that we will have to reckon with our biggest enemy who is not Donald Trump anymore.
Donald Trump does not have the power to institute a national abortion ban. Donald Trump does not have the power to kick millions off of Social Security. Donald Trump does not have the power to inflict harm on the LGBTQ community. Donald Trump does not have the power to hurt us in the way he did when he was president.
If you take anything from this article, please take these words. The shape of things to come will be shaped and designed in the Republican nomination for president. That nominee is who we will be fighting.
That person will have the power, if elected, to take away women’s autonomy. That is the person we are going to be going up against. That is the shape of things to come.
