How does one define stupid? T-e-d-C-r-u-z. Ted Cruz — the poster boy for stupid! So this story starts with a Cruz challenger for the Texas senate race. No, the race won’t be competitive. Yes, Cruz will win. but he does have a challenger, and his name is Colin Allred.

Allred jumped into the race this week, likely dismaying the mariachi fan, not because he won’t win but because he’ll actually have to shift his lazy ass and do some work. Work and Ted Cruz are not friends.

Upon getting a challenger, Cruz proceeded to text his supporters with the news. Only there was one glaring problem. (Isn’t there ALWAYS a problem with virtually ANYTHING Cruz does? WHEN has anything ever gone smoothly for Ted?) Ted Cruz used the wrong person’s image.

The person he texted was his competitor? New York DA Alvin Bragg. It’s true. To the best of my knowledge, Bragg is not leaving his position as DA to move to Texas and run against Ted Cruz in the senate race.

“What the fu##,” said many on Twitter after hearing about Ted Cruz screwing up again. I said — the poster boy for stupid. Fred Wellman of “On Democracy podcast” summed things up nicely: “That’s Alvin Bragg, the New York DA. Does Ted not know what his opponent looks like?” He added this: “You’re doing great, Ted!”

LOL. Perhaps Ted might want to think about another Cancun trip about now. He’s being laughed at terribly. Then again — in Ted’s world, that’s pretty much a daily thing.
