Donald Trump and Tucker Carlson aren’t going to like how this plays out
It was the biggest American terrorist attack ever. This, of course, was the January 6 insurrection. And thousands have been punished. But that is not enough. We also want the head of the treachery, the ultimate traitor, to get his comeuppance. And make no mistake, Donald John Trump will pay. The wheels are in motion, and the justice train is rumbling forward.
And like many traitors before him, Donald Trump has refused and continues to refuse to take responsibility for his loathsome actions. And that matters. See, readers, I believe some of America’s rage toward trump comes from the fact that he is unapologetic, even proud of all the death and destruction he has left behind. And Trump projects. He did it the other day.
Trump took to truth social to talk about Tucker Carlson’s disgusting and deceitful editing of the January 6 footage. “GREAT JOB BY TUCKER CARLSON TONIGHT,” the traitor wrote. Trump and Tucker. Two traitors. Tow little pigs. Trump then suggested that members of the January 6 committee be tried for treason.
This is, of course, never going to happen. What it is, though, is a fine example of projection. Trump always does this. He projects with frightening regularity.
The bottom line is that Donald John Trump is the traitor here. And the word “treason” is primarily used for traitors — people who would sell out their country as simply as asking for the time.
As much as I admit trump’s rage pleases me, his total disintegration into violence and darkness is disturbing as well. But it also shows us something we can never take for granted. We are the ones who ousted trump. We are the ones who fought — successfully — the weapon of treason and won.
We are the ones who took back America, saving it from certain harm that could have had catastrophic results.
So the next time you waver, the next time see an obstacle and think it can’t be done — remember. Remember, we have fought a war that could have turned out quite differently. We saved democracy.
We saved America. We fought like the activists we are and stifled trump, toppling the emperor with no clothes and bringing back America from the verge of destruction. We are strong — beyond strong, and we won’t hesitate in the future to fight for our country and win.
