House Republicans are already flopping out of the gate

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

While the Benghazi hearings were largely a big nothing burger and ultimately proved that there was nothing the president nor the secretary of state could have done to prevent the attack on that particular embassy in Libya, the whole purpose of the investigation was to capitalize on the deaths of American civilians in order for Republicans to fundraise, while also decimating the favorability of the Democrats’ presidential frontrunner for 2016: then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

While Republicans claimed to have America’s best interests at heart, it was only about these two goals in the end. They hoped they could repeat history again a decade later with a whole bunch of pointless investigations into President Biden and his administration.

The problem is – their initial effort to investigate President Biden’s classified document scandal was a failure out of the gate, as the DOJ is currently looking into all materials related to that case since it’s an active investigation. Now, the thing they’ve been trying to make a big deal out of and hoping the media takes the bait – for the last three years – is the non-existent Hunter Biden scandal.

The problem is that unlike Hillary Clinton who was a public figure, Hunter Biden is a private citizen, so there’s no legal basis for the government requesting his financial records to be made public. It’s even worse that House Republicans presented their own conclusions about Hunter’s business dealings before they investigated anything and Hunter’s lawyers called them out accordingly in a letter. Let’s work to defeat these buffoons and get them out of power in 2024 before they waste any more time or money.
