Good news for Joe Biden
The results are in! And they show President Biden’s State of the Union speech was a success. Now we already know that. Still, it’s nice to have confirmation. And confirmation we have in the form of a poll.
This poll, taken by CNN, says 72 percent of people approved of the speech. And not just that. The poll showed that 43 percent of REPUBLICANS approved. Oh dear. I can imagine the breaking glass and the flinging of ketchup going on at Mar-a-lago right now.
Another key finding in this poll is that the number of people who agreed Biden’s policies were moving the country in the right direction jumped from 52 percent before the speech to 71 percent after — a jump of nineteen points.
And among independents, it jumped 26 percent. Almost 70 percent of independents said Biden’s policies would move the country in the right direction. I’d also like to talk about Biden for a moment. Many, from pundits to politicians, have consistently underestimated Joe Biden through the years.
These people do so at their own risk — because Biden not only knocked it out of the park, he stuck it to Republicans, making fools of them and cheerfully showing the world their lousy behavior.
I felt like I was watching a bull with the exterior of a sea otter. Beneath Biden’s playful, almost genteel manner is a brilliant political mind. He made MINCEMEAT of the GOP the other night my friends and we were the witnesses.
Palmer Report has often said that Biden will go down in history as one of the great presidents. This speech will go down in history as one of the great speeches, and it looks like most Americans agree.
