Score one for President Biden
President Joe Biden is a hero. I do love saying those words. Brittney Griner has been released. She was detained in February, and now she is home. This is because of President Biden’s (and his cabinet’s) tough and fearless negotiations. President Biden never gave up, even when others said it was impossible.
He achieved what many called the impossible. You know, Trump’s ever becoming president was an American tragedy. But out of that whole mess, there did come a bit of serendipity. President Biden decided to run wholly because of Trump’s response to the Nazi march in Virginia. And so, out of the Trump tragedy, we got our finest.
I genuinely am unsure if many others could have pulled this off. And I’m sure many of you kept Griner in your thoughts. It was a terrible thing that happened. And the GOP is all talking about it too! It’s true!
Only they’re not saying exactly what many others are. You see, many in the GOP think Griner should never have been freed. That’s a winning election strategy, to be sure! Witness some of the meltdowns of various republicans unable to bear an iota of good news for anyone.
Don Junior, lurking on Twitter and as hateful as ever, was happy to label Griner an “American hating WNBA player.” Marjorie Taylor green had quite the reaction. She says that because Biden rescued a fellow American, he needs to be impeached.
And let us not forget failed candidate from Arizona, Kari Lake. She thinks Griner should have refused to leave. I kid you not. In her warped mind, she thinks Griner should have “renegotiated” because this was a “bad trade.” The good news is that nobody really gives a shit about Lake anymore.
Kevin McCarthy also appears to be losing his mind insisting this is not a cause for celebration. Such party poopers! In the meantime, let’s take a minute to thank our lucky stars for President Joe Biden — and to wish Griner and her family love and happiness this holiday season.
