More bad news for Mike Lindell

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

It seems almost surreal to think of Mike Lindell, the MyPillow guy, as one of Donald Trump’s most staunch apologists for outright fascism – as he called on the the former guy’s most violent supporters leading up to the Jan 6 insurrection and made it clear he had no problems with martial law so long as their dear leader was returned to power.

He didn’t exactly do this for free, however – as a number of radio stations canceled their ad buys with MyPillow as a result and Lindell found himself facing a $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit with Dominion.

Lindell might have legitimately believed that the former guy would be restored to power by March or August of 2021 – or that we were in the midst of seeing a violent coup that would return him to power – but those in the Trump administration who helped him amplify his nonsense knew that he was of limited value when it came to helping them stay in power.

The roguishly right-wing SCOTUS could have blocked Dominion’s lawsuit from advancing – but not even Clarence Thomas made an attempt to stop the case from going forward. Lindell, like the rest of Trump’s lackeys, is about to learn that loyalty only matters while you’re of practical use. In this case, Thomas and Roberts are more concerned about the reputation of SCOTUS and they’ve made it clear they have no qualms throwing Lindell under the bus if they have to.
