Now it turns out yet another Donald Trump attorney has been dragged into the fray
Earlier today we pointed out that even before the DOJ’s new filing pointed to Trump attorney Christina Bobb having serious legal exposure in Trump’s classified documents scandal, someone had spent weeks pushing her out front in the media. Was the DOJ trying to publicly pressure her to cooperate? Was someone else on Team Trump trying to make it so Bobb was the only member of Team Trump who took the fall?
Now it turns out yet another Trump attorney has been pushed out front. The Guardian is reporting that Trump attorney Alina Habba testified months ago to the New York Attorney General that she personally scoured every inch of Mar-a-Lago in search of evidence in the AG’s financial probe into the Trump Organization – and that this raises the “possibility she might have come across the classified docs without a clearance, making her a potential witness in the DOJ case.”
Okay, this may well be the case. But who’s putting this out there about Alina Habba? It has to be coming from someone who’s familiar with the testimony that Habba gave to the New York AG. And if it’s not the New York AG who’s giving this to the media, then who within Team Trump is putting it out there publicly that Habba may be a witness against Trump? It feels like Team Trump is eating itself alive at this point.
