Charlie Crist to the rescue
Florida has selected their candidate to run against Governor Ron DeSantis. It’s Charlie Crist. And we need to rally behind him. One thing that is infuriating to me is the media’s tired narrative that we can’t win Florida.
“But it’s a red state,” they cry woefully, wringing their hands in carefully mastered anxiety. The fact is Florida is NOT a red state. This is evidenced by the fact that nobody would be talking about it if it WERE A red state.
Think about it. Does the media talk nightly about races in Arkansas — or Mississippi or Kentucky? Of course not. So there’s the answer. Florida is NOT a red state, and one of the ways we know this is because the media won’t stop chattering about it.
And Crist has won in Florida before. He is a great candidate, and it’s going to be essential to work as hard as we can to get him elected. The fact is DeSantis only won last time by a smidgen. And he is NOT popular, yet another media lie. He is popular with REPUBLICANS. He is NOT popular with Democrats and independents.
In the coming weeks, you will likely hear lots of falsities from the media about how Democrats can’t win there. We also heard we couldn’t win the Presidency with Biden. We heard we could not win the Georgia special election.
We heard the Kansas abortion vote would not go our way. And we heard we could not win the NY special election which we just did. Sooner or later, it’s got to sink in that many in the media are full of shit. Few of their predictions ever come true, and it’s time to admit it.
So please — let’s work hard to get Charlie Crist AND Val Demings elected. We can do it. The media KNOWS we can do it. We know we can do it. Success has never looked this bright.
