Val Demings pounces on Marco Rubio’s worsening scandal
In its ratings-driven effort to paint Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as an omnipotent villain who’s inevitable in 2024, the mainstream media and pundit class has largely decided to portray Florida as a red state. This has further led the media to paint Republican Senator Marco Rubio as safe in his 2022 reelection bid, ignoring his clear vulnerabilities and his formidable Democratic opponent Val Demings.
Of course this portrayal of Florida as a red state is absurd, given that DeSantis only won in Florida by 0.4 points in 2018. And when it comes to Rubio’s 2022 reelection bid, it turns out he’s in serious trouble. Recent polling has been all over the place, but two recent polls show the race tied, and one recent poll shows Demings ahead.
Now Demings is pouncing on a particularly ugly scandal which, true to form, Marco Rubio has no idea how to address:
It's shameful that Marco Rubio refuses to denounce his best friend David Rivera, who is a crony of socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro's regime. I put bad guys behind bars. I won't be afraid to stand up to Maduro and his cronies in the U.S. Senate. https://t.co/Ws18xZ7f9M

What never gets said about Rubio by the media, but is obvious every time he opens his mouth, is that he’s a dummy. He tepidly recites prepared answers that make him sound like a fifth grader nervously reading a book report for the class that his mom wrote for him, and whenever he’s forced to go off script, he comes off like a malfunctioning robot. Val Demings, on the other hand, is one of the better Democratic candidates in this election cycle. Sign up for the Val Demings campaign here.
