Bad news for Lindsey Graham
For Lindsey Graham, I imagine this hasn’t been a good week. At the rate he’s going, he must feel like one of those hapless villains in a suspense novel, trapped and alone, nobody there to throw him a lifeline.
And he SHOULD feel that way because Lindsey Graham once again has heard the word “no” come from a Judge. A Federal Judge has refused Graham’s wormy attempt to wiggle out of testifying due to his Grand Jury Subpoena in Georgia. This is the second time this week.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over with no result, and Graham could be insanity’s
poster child at the moment.
The little fish, also known as Lindsey, has been doing everything possible to get out of testifying. Nothing’s working, though. I say he should quit while he’s ahead. The Judge, in this case, Judge May, responded to Graham’s request Friday afternoon and called Graham’s attempt to weasel out of testifying “entirely unpersuasive.” Ouch.
Graham has “no basis” to get out of testifying, the Judge said. Undoubtedly Graham will continue to try to worm his way out of testifying. After all, once he’s sworn in, he may just have to say something negative about Donald Trump. It won’t work, though. Sooner or later, Graham will have to testify, and I believe somewhere deep inside himself, he must know that.
Anything he does now is really just a stall tactic. So no, Mr. Graham’s week has not been good. On the contrary, it’s been pretty monstrous. Perhaps Graham should just “put up or shut up.” Be a man, testify like a good little boy and then go home. What’s the worst that can happen?
