More good news for the Democrats

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Our chances of keeping the Senate this November have never looked better. All over, we have great candidates. In Pennsylvania, we have John Fetterman, and boy, oh boy, is he running a fantastic campaign.

Tim Ryan in Ohio is proving to be very competitive. Florida’s Val Demings has a real shot at winning. And then there is Cheri Beasley. Cheri Beasley is running in the great state of North Carolina. For some reason, this race has not received the attention others have. That changes now.

North Carolina is purple. It’s a beautiful state with more than a few blue dots. There are many educated, inquisitive, politically astute democrats who live there. And the race is tightening.

Beasley is running a campaign that crackles with energy. She is all over North Carolina, visiting people in big cities in small mountain towns and making the case for why she should be their next senator.

“We can do anything in 97 days,” she recently told a crowd in Camden, North Carolina. If she wins, she will be the first black woman to become a senator from North Carolina. Beasley is an attorney and previously served as the Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Douglass College of Rutgers University. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee. She earned her Master of Laws from Duke University. Her website Cheribeasley.com says she “is a mom, former public defender, judge, and the first Black woman to serve as Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court.”

Beasley is an outstanding candidate running against a Trump sycophant. And this Senate race is VERY winnable. So please check out her website and sign up to help. The GOP is doing a lot of door-knocking in North Carolina. They’re desperate not to lose the state to a Democrat.

If you live in the state or know people who do — sign up to knock on doors. We need to put in a great deal of effort, but if we do, there is no reason we cannot win this seat in November.
