The GOP Achilles Heel

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

I want to speak about the Republican’s Achilles Heel. The Achilles heel is defined as a “weakness or vulnerable spot.” Everybody, to an extent, has an Achilles heel. In war, each side looks for the Achilles heel of the other side. They look carefully, critically examining every trait of their enemy in battle — to find the Achilles heel.

We have found it in the Republicans. The GOP’s Achilles heel is that they lie — a lot. In fact, they lie so much it appears they have, in some cases, come to believe their lies.

So that which becomes an Achilles Heel for the ones we are up against must be exposed. That is one part of winning. Showing the ridiculous aspects of the other side’s Achilles heel.

John Fetterman is doing a very good job of this in Pennsylvania. Every day he “owns” Mehmet Oz. He shows the world Mehmet’s, Achilles heel.

So we must redouble our efforts to shine a great big spotlight on the lies of the Republicans. Some of this can be done in phone banking for candidates. We can also do this through debates assuming any Republican even shows up for one.

This can also be done in commercials and other forms of advertising. See, the truth is nobody likes a liar. But the people who do not follow politics on a daily or even a weekly basis do not know what a pack of lying politicians the GOP is.

And we can take our pick of lies since they’re out there daily floating around like minuscule germs, refusing to leave. Abortion is a good place to start.

For years Republicans argued that abortion should be left up to the states. But what are they doing now?

Trying to limit a woman’s right to travel between states. Trying to institute a national abortion ban. You see, it was never about states’ rights. The republicans just lied. It’s what they do. It’s their Achilles Heel.

So let’s share this with the American people, many of whom do not know. Many battles have been won on the ability to unmask the Achilles Heel.
