Another failed Trump candidate is flaming out

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Trump flunky Jody Hice of Georgia completely embarrassed himself by running for Secretary of State. He was soundly trounced by incumbent Brad Raffensperger 52% to 33.6%. Even though Raffensperger is a staunch Republican who goes along with their agenda, having Hice overseeing elections in Georgia would have been a disaster. Raffensperger at least upholds the law. As a double bonus, Hice had to resign from his seat in Congress to run against Raffensperger, so, for now at least, we are rid of him. Now, he finds himself in the unenviable position of being subpoenaed to testify before the grand jury investigating Trump’s interference in Georgia’s presidential election. It is good to see some of these clowns being raked over the coals, though he will likely lie like Marjorie Taylor Greene did in the suit to prevent her from running for reelection.

According to Politico, Hice is already trying to get his subpoena moved to federal court, claiming that because he is a federal official, his subpoena must be adjudicated by the federal court. The operative word he is missing is “was”-he was a federal official. Now, he’s just a local loser who made the mistake of listening to Donald Trump. Hice was scheduled to appear and give testimony Tuesday, but he has likely forestalled that by filing his motion. He even mentioned this nonsense in the Congressional Record, as if anyone in Washington cares what happens to Hice.

As Politico reported, Hice was part of the December 21 meeting at the White House and was involved in their plans to try to overturn the election. He should be a good source of information for the grand jury-if he is truthful, which is doubtful. He also likely has knowledge of Trump’s fake electors scheme that went nowhere. It is amazing how smart these people thought they were when they are actually pretty dumb. No one was going to fall for their scheme. It is extremely unfortunate that one of them-Burt Jones-won the Republican primary for lieutenant governor in Georgia. People like this have no place in public office, and it is shameful that citizens continue to vote them in. They certainly do nothing to benefit the citizens of Georgia or the country. They are in office for themselves.

The good news is that the names of all these fake electors were given to the National Archives, and guess who has them now? The House Select Committee. It was recently reported by the AZ Mirror that Adam Schiff showed text messages from Ron Johnson (R-WI) trying to pass of a list of fake electors to Mike Pence. Of the groups of fake electors, six currently hold public office and others are involved in politics locally in their states. Brad Carver, a partner at Atlanta Firm Hall Booth Smith, is one of them. He represents clients before the Public Service Commission in Georgia. He needs to be disbarred. None of these people are fit to represent anyone in anything. They are liars and crooks.
