Fulton County DA sends out criminal target letters, and it’s time for Donald Trump to panic

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Fulton County DA Fani Willis has sent target letters to several Republican politicians in Georgia, informing them they may be indicted, per Yahoo News. Why is she sending target letters to these people, but not to Donald Trump? She’s presumably giving them a chance to flip on Trump while they still can.

At this point DA Willis has sent material witness subpoenas to Donald Trump’s associates in this plot who are outside of Georgia, and now criminal target letters to Trump’s associates in this plot who are in Georgia.

The DA is pretty clearly looking to line up as much evidence as possible against Donald Trump – whether that ends up being witness testimony or cooperating plea deals or whatever it takes – so she can indict him with the strongest hand possible.

That’s not just my take. Legal expert Norm Eisen tweeted this in response to the news: “It’s not just that DA Willis is getting ready to bring criminal charges against these high level GA GOP officials. She’s clearly limbering up to hit Trump as well.”

Of course this leaves the question of when she’ll indict Donald Trump. But whether that happens before or after the midterms doesn’t necessarily matter. Trump isn’t on the 2022 ballot. And in spite of all the pundit fear mongering about how Trump will somehow magically be immune from indictment or prosecution if he announces a 2024 campaign, that’s not within a million miles of how anything works in the real world.
