Bon voyage, Steve Bannon!

Dear readers, we've just launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our PayPal Page or our GoFundMe Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.

It is hard to imagine the mood traitor Steve Bannon must be in right now. But let’s try — and relish it. Bannon must be brooding. Nothing has worked out as he wanted it to. His trial was not postponed. Trump’s phony “waiving” of a privilege he never had went nowhere. The January 6 hearing cast him in an even more evil light (if that’s possible.)

Bannon’s face is the face of failure. It’s the face of a man who tried with all his disgusting might to get out of answering for his corrupt sins. Only — sigh — it didn’t work. And now, he just might be on his way to prison. What awaits Mr. Bannon in prison? Well — an orange jumpsuit for one. Lousy food. Loud inmates. Irrelevancy. THAT is the key word — irrelevancy.

Because that word just about sums up Bannon’s character. If there is one fear of Bannon’s, it’s that. Being irrelevant is not something the shaggy-haired man is used to.
His bombastic and extreme tantrums have always been about being talked about.

But if he goes to jail — he won’t be. People have short memories, and Bannon’s beloved podcast won’t be broadcast from the slammer. Oh dear — what’s a traitor to do? The mask of Mr. Bannon has always been defiance. But it’s easy to act — to pretend — when there is a camera on you.

Mr. Bannon’s Truman Show will cease to exist the moment his ass is behind bars. Then he will just be a “lonely only” — another face in a sea of prisoners. How miserable he must be. Of course, there is still time. He can try to take a plea. There are still a few days. But no matter how one looks at it — Mr. Bannon’s future does not seem to hold much except — a trial, some prison time, an utter and complete irrelevancy.
