Rudy Giuliani goes full snowflake
Rudy Giuliani is now claiming that he was assaulted by a Safeway grocery store employee while campaigning for his son Andrew at a New York grocery store. Rudy claimed that he could have fallen over, hit his head, and died because as he put it, he got hit very hard. He claimed the Safeway employee yelled and swore at him, and the employee was probably “drunk or high.”
Well, the video from the grocery store was released, and naturally it tells a somewhat different story:

Further, it looks like it was a light pat and the only thing the employee said to Rudy was “What’s up, scumbag?” Political violence is something that must not be tolerated. But seeing the video it doesn’t look like the assault that Rudy claimed it was. It looks more to me like Rudy is trying to stir the pot and make something out of this to distract public attention away from how badly he and the GQP fornicated themselves in recent days.
If Rudy had any sense, he wouldn’t be making a mountain out of this because embellishing a story like this doesn’t paint him as a hero or victim but instead as a whiny thin-skinned bullshitter.
