Clear and present danger
Justice Clarence Thomas is a clear and present danger to this country. For a long time, I’ve wondered who was worse — Thomas or Alito. I think I’ve decided on Thomas. Justice Thomas was part of a rogue group of Justices that overturned Roe and did it with such obvious RELISH.
And now he’s called for overturning precedents on contraceptives and LGBTQ rights. How ironic that he was silent on interracial marriage. The last thing he wants is his own marriage to an insurrectionist to become invalid. There is almost a GLEE in Thomas’s writing. I believe he enjoys socking it to women. I believe he is a misogynistic. And I believe he needs to be impeached.
“In future cases,” Thomas writes, “we should reconsider all of this court’s substantive due process precedents, including Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell.” Griswold was the case that established a right to contraceptives. The case was Griswold v. Connecticut. Lawrence v. Texas established the right for same-sex marriage. Justice Thomas would happily reverse all of this.
What type of nation would we then be? What type of the nation does Justice Thomas WANT us to be? I’ll answer that. A bunch of gun-toting, racist ingrates, anarchists, who loathe women, and whose top concerns are hunting and peering into other people’s bedrooms to see if their sex lives meet with his approval. And, of course, since he is in an interracial marriage — he leaves that one alone. This only reinforces my belief that the court is making it up as they go along.
