I beg your PARDON?
Suppose you worked at a Jewelry store. You are the manager.
A man approaches you and asks you not to call the police on him.
You ask him what he’s done to warrant a call to the police.
Nothing at all he answers.
This is a conversation that would never happen. Simply put, someone who hasn’t done anything wrong would not be worried about a call to the police.
Likewise, no Presidential pardon would be sought if one were innocent.
For what would they need a pardon? The answer is simple. They would not.
At last, we have the names of these Republicans who sought pardons. And they will have much explaining to do.
This list of the people who asked for pardons is interesting. It includes basically all the usual suspects. Here they are in no particular order:
Rep Scott Perry of Pennsylvania appears to be in a lot of trouble.
Rep. Moe Brooks of Alabama.
Rep. Andy Biggs of Arizona.
Rep Matt Gaetz of Florida
Rep Louie Gohmert of Texas
Last and certainly least:
Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia
In the following days, you will likely witness meltdowns from some or all of these people.
They’re in trouble. They know they’re in trouble. And in trouble, they will stay. The diatribes of the Usual Suspects cannot help them.
America is vast, and even as we learn the names of the guilty, we also learn more about the good eggs — the people who faced down hate and traitorous behavior and pushed it away — would not be a part of it.
It is to these people that we owe our gratitude. It is to these people we say thank you.
And it is to the January 6 Committee — and the brave members — that we appreciate and thank.
Tyranny tried to come for America. It tried but it was rebuffed.
The light beat back the dark. The hearings go on.
