Donald Trump is TRIGGERED
An interesting tweet was sent out on Friday. It was from Rick Wilson of the Lincoln Project: “This is going to trigger Trump like nothing else.” Hmm. What could Wilson have been referring to?
As it turns out, he was referring to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensburger and his deputy Gabe Sterling agreeing to testify before the January 6 committee– live. Indeed it will trigger Trump. Look — as we watch the hearings, there is no shame in admitting we’re all getting a terrible kick out of watching the orange monster lose his mind. This is a normal reaction after all he put us through.
And Trump, who has already been engaging in one long, seemingly never-ending melt-down since the hearings started — is definitely not going to like these particular two witnesses.
This is because they are Trump’s mortal enemies. They stood up to him. They didn’t do what the traitor wanted them to do. Sociopaths cannot stand it when people don’t bend to their will. They get hot around the collar. They become agitated.
This is because people with Trump’s kind of personality are hooked on control. They want to be able to mold events to their command. And they feel off their game when things do not go as they want them to.
In many cases, their sound and fury reverberate for days. This is bound to happen in this particular situation. Think about how awful it must be for the Chief operating officer of insurrections. To have to sit back, powerless, while all these people say publicly that he’s a loser — that he didn’t win.
People he thought were his FRIENDS. We’d be forgiven, I think, for our smiles and whispers of “sweet.” And who knows. There just might be other surprise witnesses. The hearings are far from over, and if there is one thing we have learned in politics, it is that nothing is ever predictable.
