GOP Senator Kevin Cramer gives away the game
If the Republicans swore to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, they would likely be lying even as they said the words.
The truth and the GOP are strangers. And I do not imagine they will ever meet. The truth would no doubt be quite lonely if they did meet.
This is because Republicans run from the truth. They abhor the truth. In MOST cases.
I say this because a Republican has told the unvarnished truth. This definitely calls for a celebration as this is an accomplishment rarely seen from the GOP.
Kevin Cramer is a United States Senator. He is from North Dakota. And he has decided to tell — the truth. This all goes back to gun reform. As you know, a deal has been reached. But there was a Republican caucus luncheon the other day to get up to speed on all this. And reporters were there.
During his chat with reporters, Cramer decided to tell the truth — in the bluntest of ways. And he didn’t hold back. “I think we’re more interested in the red wave than we are in red flags, quite honestly.” Cue stunned silence.
Look — we the people love honest brokers, but it is a rare thing indeed when a senator is honest about the fact that his party simply doesn’t give a damn about anything — other than winning.
Cramer appears to be in the minority. Polling has repeatedly shown that the overwhelming majority of the country — including gun owners — wants sensible gun safety legislation.
But Cramer did tell the truth — loud and clear. And the message is unmistakable. The Republican party does not give a damn — not one iota — about ANYTHING except the fictitious red wave. Let’s make it a blue tsunami instead — that’ll definitely show them!
