MAGA is in revolt – against itself
More and more of the group we call “Maga” are turning against some Republicans. It is happening everywhere. But social media is the place to look if one wants to find angry and dissatisfied Maga. They’re virtually all over the internet and they’re pretty angry.
What some Trump fans are angry about are things that of coarse Republicans cannot help them with. Many are saying they will not vote unless Kevin McCarthy and Mitch McConnell come out in support of the “January 6 prisoners of war” as many Maga call them, and promise that if Republicans get back the control, they will let these prisoners go.
This is really happening people. And it isn’t just a flash in the pan. There are a great many Trumpers who are saying if McConnell and McCarthy refuse to do this, neither of them should be allowed to lead. Some are even saying they will not come out and vote unless ALL candidates pledge to fight for this. Isn’t it lovely?
It is also a fascinating look into the stupidity that is the Trump base. Do they actually think that Kevin McCarthy is Judge and Jury? Do they really believe Moscow Mitch can just toss the insurrectionists a key and out of prison they will come?
Have they never in their lives watched a trial — in movies, on television or in books? It would appear that some of them do really believe this. And I say we be honest with these Trump supporters if we happen to encounter any. We must tell them the truth — that there is nothing Kevin and Mitch can do. And if they want to stay home, then they should.
It would appear many Trump fans think there are hundreds of Republicans being held in prison who have not been charged with anything. This is a bizarre belief but bizarre and Maga do sort of go together. And then again it is at least possible that they got this information from QAnon.
