BUSTED!
It’s hard not to “beat a dead horse” when talking about the machinations that occurred to overturn the results of our 2020 fair and free election. Every day, it seems that something or someone else comes out of the proverbial woodwork that makes us gasp in shock. Sunday’s shock comes courtesy of Daily Beast.
The Daily Beast obtained text messages between a former Georgia Republican county chair and an election board member that revealed a plot that allowed access to an election computer system in Coffee County, Georgia. This access was given to an Atlanta bail bondsman by the name of Scott Hall who made pizza runs while his “team” examined voting machines, searching for “election irregularities.” They were likely planning to create some election irregularities. The lengths to which these people went is astonishing. You would think they were getting something out of the deal. Apparently, they just wanted to be “right,” for all the good that does.
According to the Beast, the efforts in Georgia were “far more sinister” than anyone knew. The plot was spearheaded by Cathy Latham, former Coffee County GOP chair, and Eric Chaney, an elections board member. The Beast also reported that Latham was one of the fake electors that would have overturned Georgia’s vote had those electors been put in place. Thankfully, the Secretary of State’s office is investigating these actions, and federal authorities are involved, as they are already looking at the entire fake elector scheme. All these people need to be in jail. It is hard enough to get people to vote. Many believe that their one vote will make no difference, but we know better. As close as this election was in some states-including Georgia-one vote certainly made a difference. Having people out there trying to make sure that one vote does not count by changing the outcome of a race doesn’t help, but there is a bigger problem: If people can so easily get access to voting machines, how do we stop them?
As the Beast reported, cybersecurity experts are concerned. Harri Hursti, a Finnish computer programmer with whom Beast spoke, said: “Everything we have seen so far shows that the people who have been doing this have no skills. You have an elephant in a porcelain store. They can accidentally install malware, accidentally cause all kinds of havoc.” What’s worse, these people are operating under conspiracy theories. What is driving them is not even true, and the frightening part is that many of them work on our elections boards. One of the people who started a lot of this nonsense is Misty Hampton, who was the elections supervisor in Coffee County. Her video claiming Dominion Voting System machines could “flip” votes can be credited for getting Sidney Powell and her “Kraken” nonsense started.
The good news is that this has all come to light. These idiots did all this texting and kept the messages on their phones, which have now been pulled. That, in turn, has opened investigations into their behavior. Hopefully, we can get some honest people in charge of our elections who ensure that machines are tamper proof.
