The Oz – McCormick recount has turned into a dumpster fire for the Republicans

Have you heard about the festival of losers? I think you have. This luscious festival is going on right now — as I type these words. It’s going on in the great state of Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Republican Senate race is collapsing in real-time, folks — do you have your popcorn handy?

So yes, the march of the losers goes on — and it is fitting to call it that. What else COULD one call it? Nobody knows who won — Oz or McCormick. The count goes on. The squabbling, however, has turned — well — a bit nasty.

And now the campaign of one of these candidates — David McCormick, has just sued over some of the ballots. Surprised, dear readers? Republicans and litigation DO sort of go together.

McCormick wants to “try to ensure counties obey a brand-new federal appeals court decision.” The purpose of this lawsuit is to ensure that counties count specific mail–in ballots that do not have a handwritten date on them.

McCormick’s campaign has suggested that at least two counties in Pennsylvania have floated the idea of not counting them. As I write this, Oz is ahead by a staggering 992 votes! That’s it! Your guess is as good as mine on who wins. And this is BEFORE the expected recount.

Some media outlets are saying a winner might not even be known until June. In the meantime, the two campaigns — Oz and McCormick — are having some issues with each other. So what is going to happen? Well — the truth is — nobody knows.

I take that back. Chaos will happen. Indeed it already is. There are squabbles and petty disagreements. There is also at the center of it all, a very angry Assolini, no doubt hoping his chosen candidate (Oz) will violate the law and prematurely declare victory, something that Oz at least has had the good sense not to do yet.

Oh — the Democrats have some news too — our candidate John Fetterman is out of the hospital! So, as we unleash our activism for the best candidate for Pennsylvania senate — the march of the freaks continues — no end date in sight.
