The Republicans have no idea what to do with this guy

We've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.

What are the Republicans going to do about Doug Mastriano? Mastriano won the Republican primary for Governor in Pennsylvania. There is just one problem. And that problem is that he’s bat-shit crazy.

An election denier of the umpteenth degree Mastriano is too bizarre for many Republicans. There had been desperation in the GOP to stop him from securing the nomination. You can see how THAT worked out!

And now the GOP is stuck with him. They’re stuck with someone so out of touch with mainstream Americans that even many Republicans did not want him. So the question is — what now? There are a few options available to the Republicans.

They could run away from the big bad Mastriano wolf — let their feet carry them over the Pennsylvania hills as they seek to put distance between them and him. But that would be the intelligent thing to do. WHEN has the GOP EVER chosen the smart path? I doubt they will choose this option.

Will they endorse him? Some might have to. But it will possibly hurt others on the ballot, including their (eventually decided) Senatorial pick. Among the things Mastriano wants to do is wipe the voter tolls clean — of EVERYONE. That’s right. Mastriano wants the whole state of PA to re-register to vote. Even in their worst nightmares, I bet the GOP didn’t expect THAT.

Incompetence is incompetence, and the GOP, moronic they are, seem to know that this guy is too extreme by even their standards. But they might be forced to stand behind him anyway — and look mighty uncomfortable while they do it.

If this were a book, we’d all be screaming, “run!” “Get away from this maniac.” Or maybe we wouldn’t. MAYBE we’d sort of like to see a hapless Republican party right where they are right now — caught in the steel jaws of the very clever trap laid out for them.

It's been a tough week, a tough month, a tough year. For all of us. But the fight goes on. Because we know how important this is. Because we care. Because we're the ones who fight. It's you and me. It has been for a decade. And I'm never backing down. But Palmer Report does have operating expenses. And in this uncertain time, I truly need your help. For that reason I've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.
