Matt Gaetz isn’t the only one
I want to talk in this article about misogyny — or more specifically, the misogyny of Republican men. I do not speak of ALL Republican men. But many are letting their smug misogyny talk for them.
I believe this need to control women’s bodies is less about religion and more about misogyny. They can’t help it, you see. The mask has slid away for many of these men. We can see it in their self-satisfied grins, their gleaming eyes. We can hear it in their voices. And we can easily understand their motivations in the words they speak.
Allow me if you will to paint a portrait for you of a few misogynistic men. Matt Gaetz has verbally slammed the protesters calling them “over-educated millennials with no bumble matches.”
Far-Right Newsmax host Grant Stinchfield has accused Ketanji Brown Jackson of being the leaker. How insane — how utterly stupid — is that? Josh Hawley has said abortion is the far-left’s “religion.”
Ted Cruz called for an FBI investigation into the “left-wing leaker.” And we can’t forget the original misogynistic — Samuel Alito. I will let his harsh words in that beastly opinion draft speak for themselves. In my personal opinion, these men are archaic — and seem to come from another century.
They do not view women as equals. I shudder to think what else goes on in their grotesque minds as it relates to women. These men are monsters, in ties, and suits. They would seek unlimited and unrelenting control over women.
They may have massive inferiority complexes. And they are much too concerned about what goer on in women’s bedrooms. Misogynists come in all shapes and sizes — and sometimes they come for our rights — sometimes they succeed. Not this time.
The hate of these misogynistic Republican men are an out-of-control and primitive wildfire. But we’re the water who will stop it. There are far more of us than of them. We will never let them control us. We will fight them with every fiber of our being, and that fight has already begun.
The misogyny of some Republican men has already failed. And, inspired by other heroic women like Susan B Anthony, Elizabeth Cady, and Lucretia Mott, whose whispers in our ears we still hear, we fight on.
